Lodz is the one place in Poland where you’ll find the most numerous industrial and residential complexes, the largest of the historic factory owners’ palaces, the largest Jewish Cemetery in Poland, the longest promenade, the most original means of transport, the oldest collection of modern art, and much, much more.


This remarkable city is notorious for its obsession with modern art, endless examples of Art Nouveau, revitalised buildings and loud nightlife in stylish bars and restaurants.

DESCRIPTION


Day 1. Lodz

  • Arrival in Lodz,  transfer to hotel.

  • Check-in at the hotel.

  • Guided tour of the centre of Lodz. We’ll start from the Old Market, move on to the ‘Tube’ Museum of the Sewers, visit the Rose Passage, the Town Hall, Ksiezy Mlyn (‘Priest’s Mill’), and Karol W. Scheibler’s famous Cotton mill.

  • Lunch at a local restaurant.

  • After lunch, we’ll visit the Film Museum and see the original Photoplasticon.

  • Welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

  • Overnight stay in the hotel.


Day 2. Lodz

  • Breakfast in the hotel.

  • Tour of Piotrkowska Street on jinrickshaws.

  • Playing a location-based game, ‘New face of Lodz – Murals’.

  • Lunch at a local restaurant.

  • Free time for shopping.

  • Chill-out at the OFF Piotrkowska, with dinner.

  • Overnight.


Day 3. Lodz

  • Breakfast in the hotel.

  • Tour of the city, this time of its historical cemeteries, with their vaults of the old industrial kings and various others, all of whom recall the city’s multicultural history. We’ll start from the Old Cemetery, visit the Jewish Cemetery next, then the Orthodox Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and the Evangelical-Augsburg Church of Saint Matthew.

  • Lunch at a local restaurant. 

  • Time in Lodz’s luscious green zone – Łagiewniki Forest.

  • The Central Museum of Textiles, the ‘White Factory’ and The Open-air Museum of Lodz Wooden Architecture.

  • Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant, with traditional regional dishes.

  • Check-in and overnight stay in the hotel.


Day 4. Lodz

  • Breakfast.

  • Transfer to Airport. 

  • Return flight home.
